ABOUT
Michelle Steffes has a Bachelors Degree with Exercise Physiology from CSU Chico and San Diego State University (Sports Psychology & Nutrition Studies). Michelle developed a passion to help people recover and heal from injuries after her dad passed from years of a deteriorating disease.
Another driving force for Michelle's love for her work became very personal due to her challenges with scoliosis as a young girl. Growing up very active in gymnastics and dance, scoliosis became a hindrance which resulted in turning to running and weight training. The key she discovered through all her struggles with scoliosis was unlocked when she learned myofascial release from John F. Barnes training. Michelle learned that it is possible to overcome injury and any kind of imbalances with myofascial self-care, and regular myofascial release intensives with professionals on a routine basis.
She began her Massage Therapy Training through Body Mind College in 1996 while also working as a physical fitness/personal trainer. To expand her range of clientele to working with all types of injuries, she began her training in Myofascial Release with the John F. Barnes healing centers in 2004. Because of this training, her practice has expanded to healing problems including headaches/migraines, neck and jaw pain, low back pain, shoulder pain, fibromyalgia, hip/knee pain, plantar fasciitis, as well as emotional healing.
